Changes to Worship Activities

Dear Cornerstone family,

We are sorry to be further restricting our precious times together, but it seems wise at this point to make some additional cut-backs.  In an effort to help control the spread of this virus, we are announcing the following changes from our announced/usual Sunday and work-week activities:

1) For tomorrow there will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL, NO COFFEE & DONUTS, and NO MINI-FLOCKS.  In addition, we will suspend our practice of having greeters at the doors (ushers will distribute bulletins).  OFFERING PLATES WILL NOT BE PASSED but will be available, along with offering boxes, in Reformation Hall for our use.

2) The Men’s Study scheduled for Monday evening will be suspended, as well as the Tuesday morning and Thursday evening Ladies’ Bible Studies.

3) As of now, we DO PLAN TO HOLD THIS WEDNESDAY EVENING’S PRAYER MEETING, since the need for prayer is greater than ever!

4) This week there will be NO CHOIR PRACTICE.

In general:

For now, any time we are gathering we ask that everyone come, worship/participate, and then leave.  We strongly discourage staying behind to congregate in informal groups.  It’s a time we can be especially thankful for phones and the internet to stay connected with each other!  As always, your elders are available to you for any concerns and for prayer.

We will have to assess any necessary future changes as the week goes on and we are able to gauge what precautions wisdom may dictate.

We continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He does all things well; and let us use these days and hours to pray for revival in Christ’s church and the turning of many lost ones to Him.  The good news of the gospel is ALWAYS relevant and may be more readily heard at such a time as this!

For the leadership,

Pastor Jim
